Snow Day!

It finally snowed in Nashville! We got a good 6 inches in our neck of the woods. The roads were so icy that Jeremy had to stay home and play in the snow with Izzy and our neighbors. This was the only time that it was good that we live on a mountain. We had a good place to sled right outside our door. Izzy had so much fun sledding down the hill with daddy. Notice how every picture showes Izzy with her tongue out.... she was trying to catch the snow on her tongue.
Of course, Chloe slept right through all the excitement!
At the end of the day, I promised Izzy a big cup of hot chocolate. She had a beautiful mustache in this picture!
After several days of being stuck in our house, I'm almost ready for the snow to melt.... almost.

Catching Up!

I am finally catching up! I guess I am a whole month behind, so here is what we were up to in December! (Just a cute picture of my sassy little girl!) In the beginning of the month, we went with my family and my sister-in-laws family (They might as well be called family too!) to Opryland to see the lights. We had so much fun! We ate an amazing meal at the Cascades restaurant, looked at lights and took a tour of the lights with hot chocolate outside. The place was decorated beautifully. Being 9 months pregnant, I wasn't the happiest camper the whole time. I tried to plan everything, and get reservations for every activity we did. We ended up having to wait for the carriage rides at the end of the night even though we had reservations. The kids were very tired, but Izzy still enjoyed it! She still talks about the horse that took us around, "Sweet Tator". Izzy and I hosted a cookie decorating playdate. Her friends, Hollis, Mason, Liam, Cooper, Parker, Mitchell, Logan, Anna Kate, and Caroline all came to our house. I luckily found the precut cookies at Target for the kids to decorate. I had cute bags for the kids to take their cookies home in. At the end of the day, I got the bags ready only to find out that the kids had already eaten all of their cookies. Poor Izzy, I only let her eat one! (oops!) All the moms brought a yummy dish, so we had an amazingly delicious spread to eat for lunch. I also bought a brownie mix at Williams Sonoma for all the adults to eat. Izzy was invited to a Pancake/Pajama Birthday party for McKenleigh. (Izzy calls her Ms Kenleigh!) It was adorable to see all the kids in their pajamas. Izzy wore her gingerbread nightgown with matching slippers. She loves her house slippers! Marie had a bunch of toys out for the kids to play with and which one did Izzy run to?... The kitchen, of course! Izzy was cracking all the parents up because she put her arms around the kids, un-prompted, when we started to take pictures. The party favors were adorable. Marie and her mom monogrammed lunch boxes for the kids, and had toys in them. There were yummy favors for the adults, as well! After the party, we went to get our Christmas tree! These are some pictures from Izzy's preschool Christmas Program. Poppy, Bebe, Aunt SaySay, Daddy, and Jax came to see her sing. As the kids were being put on stage, the teacher told the little girl next to Izzy that she looked pretty. Izzy turned to her and said, "I'm pretty too!"....Nice! Sara, Mom and I had our annual cookie decorating party at her house again this year. The only difference was that Izzy was old enough to enjoy the fun, as well! She was wired on all the sugar! Mom made Jax and Izzy some personalized cookies. They didn't last long! We went to Mom and Dad's for Christmas Eve. Santa visited the kids. I have never heard Jax scream so loud! He was terrified! Izzy started to get scared until Santa handed her a big gift. She loved on him after that. Memaw was able to come and open presents with us, also! Even though Chloe was not here yet, she still got a ton of presents. One of them was this beautiful bassinet that mom made for her. Yes, Izzy got another kitchen for Christmas this year. She loved playing with it in the store, and I thought it went with our decor better than the old one. Izzy loves cleaning her dishes with the dish rags and sponges I got her at the dollar store. Finally, I have a picture of Aunt Melissa! She is always making the pictures for us. I love this picture too! It turned out so good. Aunt Melissa, Grampy and Nawna took care of Izzy while we were in the hospital with Chloe. She had so much fun playing with cousin Hamilton. We are lucky to have two photographers! Aunt Melissa took some awesome pictures of the girls in the hospital and Ilde came to the house a week after we were home. There are some beautiful pictures of the gown mom made for Chloe. Here are some of the pictures Ilde took of the girls a week after Chloe was born. This was taken after Chloe's first bath. I think she might have Jeremy's curly hair. I can't believe my baby is already a month old! Izzy is finally getting used to having a baby sister in the house. She wants to love on her all the time. We have to remind her that she is just a baby sometimes because she wants her to color and play tea party with her. I'm finally getting into a routine with them. It is so much fun having two little girls! The Lord has blessed me more than I ever dreamed!
