Jeremy's Surprise Party

Last year, I had a surprise birthday party/weekend for Jeremy's 31st birthday. He said he was surprised, but I'm not sure! Jeremy's sister, Melissa and Jason drove in, and Jon and Mandy flew in the day before. We surprised Jeremy when he got home from work that Friday night. The next night, we had a limo to pick us up. Jeff and Deltah and Matt and Sara were waiting for us in the car. For dinner, we went to Cabana. It was so much fun! Our cabana had a ipod hook-up, so we had to listen to Lionel "All Night Long"! After dinner, we went to listen to some more music at B.B. Kings. It was so much fun!

The Breakers!

Every summer, Jeremy and I try to take the girls to Destin for a family vacation. Because of the huge BP oil spill, we weren't too sure that we wanted to chance oil being in the ocean. So, we started researching kid friendly resorts to take the girls to and we found the Breakers in Palm Beach. I was a bit nervous because of some things I had heard about the area, but it was amazing! The resort was very kid friendly, but relaxing as well. We were able to talk Jon and Mandy into meeting us down there, as well.
The trip started off a bit bumpy. On the plane ride down there, Chloe decided to roll off of her seat into the floor under the seat in front of us. She was so tired that I laid her down in the seat beside me. I turn around to the aisle to pick up a toy for Izzy and I turn back around to see Chloe in the floor looking up at me screaming. Talk about feeling like the worst mom in the world! I got the worst looks ever from people on that plane!
We reserved a poolside cabana for the first day we were there because our room wasn't going to be ready until later that day. This was great! It had a room with a t.v., couch, and fridge. It also had a great bathroom with a shower, so we could clean the kids up at the end of the day. The cabana also came with a concierge. We were able to order food and drinks for the kids. He also brought us some pack-n-plays for the babies. Once we got to the room, there was a backpack on the bed filled with toys and snacks for the girls to enjoy. This came in handy when we went to dinner at nights. The hotel had a ton of things for the kids to do. Other than the amazing beach and pools, they had an arcade, playground and play areas seperated by age. The italian restaurant was right beside the kids play area, so the adults could send the kids in there if they got too restless at the table. Since it was glassed in, we could see everything they were doing while we finished our dinner. Our reservation came with free kids camp. Izzy and J.D. had fun playing there while we enjoyed a few hours by the pool and eating.
We were so sad to have to leave, but the hotel did not let us down. As we were loading the kids into the car, the bell hops came and gave the girls big fluffy stuffed animals! (I should get a discount the next time we go because I'm promoting it so well!)
One of the days, the guys watched the babies while Mandy and I went shopping. J.D. and Izzy were in kids camp, so they had a bit of a break. However, Jeremy had a work call during the babysitting time that made things a bit stressful! Here are a few pictures of Meg and Chloe. J.D. said it looked like Meg was eating Chloe. These pictures make me so sad that we don't get to see them a lot! The girls look like they're going to be such good friends!

Chloe's 6 Month Pictures

We had the girls' pictures taken when Chloe was 6 months old. They were taken at the Factory in Franklin. There are so many places to take cute pictures there. Luckily, they have shops that sell panties and bloomers too! One of the girls had a accident during the shoot!

July 4th 2010

We went to El Dorado for the 4th of July. Izzy loves going to visit our cousins and family! The place we stayed in had a huge room, so we all fit comfortably. Izzy liked taking the cushions off the couch and making a bed on the floor. Chloe was happy too! After 8 hours in the car, the girls enjoyed finally getting to stretch out! We were able to celebrate Hamilton's birthday while we were there. Aunt Melissa threw an adorable "Splash" party. They have a great backyard, so she set up a bunch of blow-up pools. Izzy had fun, but she did not like the bathing suit that I packed for her. She was so uncomfortable. She hates for her stomach to show. But what doesn't make since... she'd rather go naked! Doesn't make since to us either. On the last day, Aunt Melissa, Uncle Jason, Hamilton, NawNa and Grampy met us at a cute soda shop for breakfast/lunch. They had cute ice-cream cupcakes. I think it was a bit early, but I had to let Izzy have one. I actually think all the sugar helped her go to sleep faster in the car. (I know, I'm not going to claim 'mother of the year' anytime soon!) Chloe really took up with Uncle Jason! The trip home was very interesting. We were trying to potty train Izzy at the time. As you know, when a child says she needs to go, she needs to go right then! Izzy decided that she needed to go at a spot where there was no gas station for miles. So, I had to let her go on the side of the road. This was gross! I think I left 100 wet wipes on the side of the road. However, Izzy loved it! For months after the trip, she wanted to go potty in our yard. (All my friends laugh at me because my "girly girl" is not always girly!) On the way home, we stopped in Memphis at the Spaghetti Factory. This is a great restaurant and very kid friendly! It has a train you can eat in. Izzy loved it! They also have a man the goes around making balloon animals for the kids. Izzy got an adorable/obnoxious hat. The man made a heart saber for Chloe, which Izzy took over. She said she was just taking care of it for her.

Summer 2010!

Aunt Say Say brought Jax over to play with Izzy one day. They had so much fun together just playing in our tiny pool on our porch! Corey and Caleb came to visit us as well! I found a slip and slide at the Dollar General. I think they had more fun making water balloons with our neighbor, Dixon. We love it when they come over! They are so good with the girls. Izzy really looks up to them!
